We host and promote family-friendly activities throughout the year to celebrate the men and women of the United States Coast Guard serving in the South Jersey region. Our spring event schedule includes the Southern New Jersey Coast Guard Ball and the Coast Guard Community Festival and, in the Fall, the Always Ready 5K along with the Always Ready K9 3K.
We are grateful for our community partners who include us in their fundraisers, including the annual Burke Motor Group Car, Truck and Cycle Show, Cape May Brewing Co. Pint Night fundraisers, Fins Sunday Socials, and the annual Salute to the Coast Guard at MudHen Brewing Co. These family-friendly events strengthen the special bond we share with the Coast Guard and the Cape May County community while also supporting our initiatives.
Held during the summer months on the occasional holiday weekend are the USCG Training Center Cape May’s Sunset Parades. These moving ceremonies consist of the Coast Guard Recruit Battalion marching in formation, the Recruit Band and the Precision Drill Team. They are ceremonial in nature with elements such as cannon fire and presentation of the colors. These events are free and open to the public.
