We host and promote family-friendly activities throughout the year to celebrate the men and women of the United States Coast Guard serving in the South Jersey region. Our event schedule consists our Spring Events, the Southern New Jersey Coast Guard Ball and the Coast Guard Community Festival. Our Fall Event calendar includes the Sunset Cruise for a Cause and new in 2022, the Always Ready 5K.
We are grateful for supporters who have chosen us to participate in their fundraisers such as the annual Burke Motor Group Car, Truck and Cycle Show and Fins Sunday Socials. All of the events and fundraisers we participate in encourage and facilitate the special connection we share with our Coast Guard and the Cape May County Community. These family-friendly events provide an opportunity to get together in the community and support the programs of the Foundation at the same time.
We also promote the USCG Training Center Cape May’s Sunset Parades held during the summer months on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Coast Guard Day and Labor Day. These moving ceremonies consist of the Coast Guard Recruit Battalion in marching formation, the Recruit Band and the Precision Drill Team. They are ceremonial in nature with elements such as cannon fire and presentation of the colors. These events are free and open to the public.
